Professional Development

As your child’s teacher, I need to learn or brush up on requirements to help your child grow. This is often during summer break. I read and create, and plan all summer long. My goal is for your child to develop as a whole person. Keeping things fresh in my mind helps me transition back to school smoothly.

Your child would benefit by practicing their skills as well. Identifying their name, writing their name, writing sentences, adding numbers, following recipes, following a checklist or a picture routine will help your child transition back to school smoothly. There are so many other things you can have your child do.

Every child will benefit with practicing their skills over the summer. Getting dressed, feeding themselves, using the bathroom, using their AAC device, reading, writing, and math skills can all be practiced during the summer. Following a simple direction can keep your child learning.

See you all soon. Keep learning.
