We all survived the first day back from our week long Thanksgiving break. Students were freezing and so chatty!!! Teachers are trying to rein them in with reminders to follow safe procedures at school. All kids and adults need structure and consistency. Remember that baby you let sleep a little longer so you could get housework done. Well, that baby stayed up late because they weren’t tired.

All human beings need structure and when that structure goes to the side for a few days it takes that many days to get back in a consistent structure.

I think they say if you try something new ( food, exercise, habit) for 26 days it will become a more permanent desired and possible taste or trend.

Forgive yourself after a weekend or vacation. Also, remember how your child does their best. If it’s following a schedule then you need to follow that schedule all the time. It sounds hard now, but looking back in a few weeks you will be happy you stuck it out.
