Well… my day was so productive at school. As each part of my room was transformed, I thought of my students and what they would see and how well it would work for them. I have the same students returning with the addition of one more.
I chose pastel colors this years and created signs that are bold and beautiful. I am trying different ideas this year and I am so excited.
Even though each staff had their own space last year I tried to define it a bit better this year. I changed my room around and each of my paras have their own space with an area to call their own and work with children. The nurse in my room will also have her/his own space with a table and specific shelves with cabinets that will work perfectly in the space. My calming corner area will have our book case close by so if reading calms a student they will be quick to access. Instead of using computers at their desks/ table I will have a computer area for them to use. This will allow 3 students at a time, in a designated area, to use computers. Hopefully, this will promote more independence.
